I love being part of a creative community of artists from all different backgrounds, influences, and walks of life. There’s something special about the beauty industry—how wide open it is for anyone to succeed, and how much space there is to grow and make a difference. I’ve always loved hair, but this industry has taught me more about people, connection, and purpose than I ever expected.
I spent 15 years renting a booth with no roadmap. I used to think structure meant limits—until I learned that the opposite is true. Summit gave me the clarity and tools to grow in the ways I had always hoped for. I can now plan and execute my goals, lead with intention, and help other stylists do the same—faster, better, and more confidently than I did.
I’m a hairstylist of 30 years. I was the first in my town to offer hair extensions, and I’ve always looked for new ways to serve my clients and evolve. I moved to Nashville, built my company Black Tie and Blush, and became a Modern Salon Top 100 Stylist. I’ve spent 10 years as a Kérastase educator and have loved every part of teaching, mentoring, and learning alongside other professionals. Outside of the salon, people often tell me they’re inspired by how I keep reinventing myself. I’m in my 50s now—and still just getting started.
