I've been on an exciting journey in the beauty industry since 1985. Over the years, I've had the privilege of immersing myself in various aspects of this captivating field, making my mark as an entrepreneur and a community-driven individual. Let me take you through my story.
My passion for beauty ignited in the mid-'80s when I embarked on my entrepreneurial journey. Since then, I've been the driving force behind The Salon & Spa Mystic Hair, where people can experience true beauty transformation, and The Edge Salon, where innovation and creativity collide. In addition to these ventures, I'm also proud to be a co-owner of Summit Salon Academy in Tampa, Florida, where we nurture the talents of future beauty industry professionals.
What sets me apart is my unwavering commitment to excellence. For over a decade, I've implemented the Summit System in my companies, fostering an environment that encourages growth and empowers my team and clients to look and feel their best.
But my involvement doesn't stop at the salon door. I believe in giving back to the community that has supported me. That's why I dedicate 40 hours each year to providing haircuts for people without homes because everyone deserves to feel a little more confident and cared for, no matter their circumstances.
You'll often find me pursuing my other great loves outside the beauty realm. I'm an avid lover of the water, whether it's fishing, boating, or any activity that lets me experience the beauty and serenity of the aquatic world. I'm also a passionate advocate for winter sports. There's nothing quite like the rush of carving through fresh powder on a snowboard or hitting the slopes on skis. The contrast between the tranquil waters and the exhilaration of winter sports provides me with a perfect balance in life.
I also play an active role in my community by serving on the boards of the Beauty Industry Council, DBI International Ministries, and Cambridge Christian School. These opportunities allow me to give back, learn, and grow while contributing to causes close to my heart.
