I think what I love most about our industry is the people – truly the most heart-centered people I have ever met. As salon professionals, we pour ourselves into those we serve, and we deeply care about the work we put out into the world.

Summit has provided me with more freedom, plain and simple. I've witnessed that same sense of freedom in the lives of my team as well as the clients I have the privilege of coaching. Freedom comes in many forms - financial freedom, freedom with time, freedom with flexibility, freedom to have lots of choices. I could go on about freedom. But most of all, Summit has opened my heart, and I am so inspired when the professionals I serve start to believe in themselves. THIS is the secret sauce. Once that part of you is unlocked "Boom Goes The Dynamite" as Michael Cole says. Empowering others is a lifelong passion of mine.

I started out as stylist over 30 years ago. I opened Carl Michael Salon in 2006, went to Summit in 2009 and opened my second location in 2013. I retired from behind the chair in 2015 so that I could focus on growing leaders both I my own company and as a Summit Salon Coach.

In addition to working in this amazing industry - I love to travel and have been on over 15 cruises and have seen a lot of this incredible world. Oh – and one time I found myself (accidentally) backstage at a Sia concert and had the most amazing time! 💜
