The beauty industry is one of endless possibilities for anyone who is willing to put in the work. As a proud father of a daughter in this industry, I am especially grateful for the amazing career opportunities our industry gives to women, allowing them to become self-sustainable and not depended on anyone to live the life they wish to live.

I often talk about the first salon I ever took to The Summit, and refer to what Randy Kunkel and Michael Cole taught that day as a life-changing message. “I grew up in this business and thought I knew absolutely everything there was to know about salons until I went to The Summit.” The natural next step for me was to join Summit Salon Business Center as a Salon Coach. The truth is, you don’t go to The Summit dozens of times and not get that this is about others. There is no way you can witness what salon owners are going through and not share what you have learned.

Within my own Salon Company, Summit systems and strategies took us from a place where we were losing money to being very profitable. Today, we have two salon professionals that we hired straight out of cosmetology school who are now shareholders earning an incredible living in the company. It is truly inspiring – knowing how far our team can take their career.

In addition to owning a salon company, I also own a cosmetology school and 17 Salon Centric Franchises throughout Missouri, Kansas and Arkansas. As busy as the beauty industry has kept me – I still have a deep connection to music. Few know this, but I am actually a Nashville Recording Artist.
